Lady Gaga’s meat dress is one of the most outrageous dresses but this is not the only one in the fashion world and is also not the most shocking, if placed side by side with some dresses made of 3000 cow, yak nipples and 1,500 Austrian gold coins. Let’s have a look at this article and discover most shocking dresses around the world.
Cow-nipple dress by Rachel Freire
At the 2011 London Fashion Week, British designer Rachel Freire showed off her latest design, a cow-nipple dress which is made from 3,000 cow and yak nipples (90 per cent cow and 10 per cent yak). This kind of dress caused such a fashion scandal and the spring-summer 2012 “Nippleocalypse” collection of this 32-year-old designer met with harsh criticism. “It seems to me absolutely grotesque.” Labour MP Kerry McCarthy said. “I think most people will find it sickening and repulsive.” But Freire defended her provocative piece, saying, “I create fashion using material that would otherwise end up on the scrap heap. What I am doing is recycling. The people criticizing are clearly clueless about the amount of leather wasted on a daily basis.”

Meat dress by Franc Fernandez
There has been a big debate after a special night at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards when Lady Gaga gave a new and funny meaning to the phrase “wears the beef”. Lady Gaga went onstage in a meat dress designed by Franc Fernandez, styled by Nicola Formichetti made from 15lb of raw beef. Gaga herself said it smelt good, because it smelt like meat. This year, the meat dress made news again when it went on display in the “Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power” exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
